The Problem
Business Impact
Most merchant announcement apps force users into separate app dashboards with fragmented settings, slower setup, and extra maintenance overhead.
Constraints
The app had to feel native to Shopify, avoid theme file conflicts, and keep setup simple for non-technical merchants.

Architectural Strategy
Designed Parrot as a Theme App Extension so merchants configure everything directly in the Shopify Theme Editor.
Depth of Execution
Implemented configurable marquee banners, logo rows, and action-button blocks with style presets, speed controls, sticky behavior, and multilingual support.

✓Setup flow reduced to install plus add app block in Theme Editor.
✓No separate app dashboard required for day-to-day configuration.
✓Supports reusable banner patterns for promotions, trust rows, and scrolling announcements.
Future Proofing
