The Problem
The business lost work whenever the owner could not pick up the phone. Quoting depended on live calls and site visits, the old WordPress site was slow and confusing, and visitors had no way to describe their situation or get an estimate on their own, so many left without ever converting.
The rebuild had to keep the existing WordPress content workflow usable for a non-technical team, capture enough job detail for accurate remote quoting, and sharply improve speed and SEO on a modest budget.
Technical Execution
Engineered a fully custom, decoupled platform: a Next.js frontend consuming WordPress as a headless CMS over WPGraphQL, backed by a custom WordPress plugin exposing REST APIs and custom admin modules for consultations and certifications. Every part was purpose-built to convert a visitor into a booked customer without requiring a phone call.
Built an instant estimate calculator plus a guided questionnaire that collects the full scope of a job, including photos and videos, so the owner could quote accurately without visiting the property. Added self-serve free consultation booking that captures each request into a custom admin module where the team tracks and updates its status. Created a certification module that generates a certificate for every completed decontamination job, a strong plus for homeowners renting out property and for real estate agents. Integrated services directly into blog and help articles so each article surfaces the relevant services to choose instantly, and designed a homepage combining search, the instant estimator, and the consultation booking flow.
Results
- Most jobs now come in through self-serve instant estimates and consultation booking, so work is no longer missed when the owner cannot answer a call.
- The guided questionnaire with photos and videos lets the owner scope and quote jobs accurately without an on-site visit.
- Per-job decontamination certificates gave homeowners and real estate agents proof of remediation, adding real value beyond the service itself.
- Tying services into every blog and help article improved SEO and gave readers an instant path from information to booking.
The custom plugin and admin modules let the team manage consultations and certificates directly in WordPress, while the Next.js frontend pulls content automatically, so new services and articles ship without developer involvement.
