The Problem
Business Impact
Enterprises trying to recycle 500+ employee laptops faced clunky portals that failed on large batch files, causing lost orders and long quote delays.
Constraints
The platform had to support instant bulk CSV imports and export multi-shipper return labels, while maintaining the existing Google Sheets tracking workflow.
02
Technical Execution
Architectural Strategy
Built a lightweight React client utilizing TanStack Query for caching, connected to a rapid Go backend using Pocketbase for data storage.
Depth of Execution
Designed a batch-processing parser in Go that ingests sheets of device IDs, validates grades against active indices, and returns pricing in under a second. Real-time pricing fetched from multiple third-party sources. Canada Post integration for return shipping labels and invoice PDF generation.
03
Results
✓Corporate bulk transaction processing time reduced from 5 days to 10 minutes.
✓Zero timeout errors during bulk uploads of 1,000+ items.
✓Client onboarding time for enterprises improved by 70%.
Future Proofing
Wrote abstract shipping and valuation adapters, allowing the team to add new carriers without updating core business logic.
