The Problem

Business Impact

Ground staff working in remote farming areas with poor internet connectivity needed to place orders on tablets. Orders had to be stored offline and synced when connectivity returned.

Constraints

The app had to work on tablets used by non-technical field staff - simple, functional, and reliable in low-connectivity environments.

02

Technical Execution

Architectural Strategy

Built an offline-first progressive web app using browser storage to persist all required data locally.

Depth of Execution

All product and order data stored in browser storage. Two-way sync initiates automatically when connectivity is restored. Staff can add, modify products, orders, and product images. Admin Excel upload and multi-language support (English and Spanish).

03

Results

  • Ground staff can place orders from any remote location regardless of connectivity.
  • Two-way sync ensures no orders are lost during offline periods.
  • Multi-language support (English and Spanish) for diverse field teams.
Future Proofing

PWA architecture enables deployment as a native-like app without App Store distribution.
